Looking for a light-weight yet super robust guitar stand? Then check out the Nordic Essentials Instrument stand. Seriously, do it. The good people at Nordic Essentials gave me one of their products for free to test it out and provide feedback. I’ve been using the stand for a little over two months now and all I can say is that I’m thrilled, because it’s easy to use, no knick-knacks, yet it does a fantastic job in providing a sturdy and stable place to rest my guitars on.
The Nordic Essentials guitar stand weighs just under 14 oz./396g which means it’s ridiculously light. That obviously comes in handy for transportation purposes. Also, you can fold the whole thing together in a matter of a few seconds, no locks, knobs, etc. To be clear, this stand is not just for guitars, but also recommended for pretty much all types of guitars, ukuleles, basses, mandolins, banjos and violins. Depending on the thickness of the body of your instrument, you can easily adjust the front rubber pads, which provides additional stability. Speaking of stability, the back legs extend are extendable, too which is important especially if your instrument is on the heavier side (e.g. electric guitars). Lastly, the backrest is also adjustable.
Here is my short Nordic Essentials Guitar Stand Video Review:
Of course, with a light product like this one there’s always a concern that it may lack durability and robustness. I can assure you, there’s no need to be worried about that. The Nordic Essentials guitar stand is made of aircraft-grade aluminum. I’m not pretending to know what that actually means, but I can attest to the fact that this thing is rock-solid. It’s definitely not like some of the other flimsy guitar stands I’ve seen over the years. I guess that’s why the manufacturer offers a lifetime warranty on this product. Sweet!
