“It’s a miracle” according to Steve Vai. Eddie VanHalen stated during a press conference yesterday: “Dieter Ulrich Peise’s ‘Learn Guitar in Your Sleep’ Program” will revolutionize the way we teach guitar.”
Learning to play the guitar, even for the most talented individuals, comes with blood, sweat and tears. There is no way to avoid relentless practicing and endless repetitions of the same chords and scales. It is tedious work which isn’t always rewarded. Despite an ambitious mindset and commitment to work hard, not everybody gets to make it to the next level. And this ultimately results in frustration and thousands of willing students to give up.
In close collaboration with the Forschungszentrum für populäre Musik in Berlin, Germany, and after years of research conducted with other guitarists, I finally was able to publicly announce my breakthrough discovery. What experts all over the world claimed to be impossible has now become reality and in my humble opinion is nothing short of a miracle, just like Eddie VanHalen described it his interview the other day when asked by the media.
Learn Guitar In Your Sleep – How It Works
The philosophy and underlying concept of my ‘Learn Guitar In You Sleep’ is surprisingly simple, yet delivers remarkable results. Here is how it works in a nutshell: over the course of 21 days the guitar students will have to dedicate 30 minutes per day where they strictly focus on the program. In addition to my software – a special introductory offer is listed below – all they need is a computer or laptop and a headset. That’s it. Yes, they don’t even need a guitar! During each of the sessions a set of images will show up on the guitar student’s computer. The frequency in which the images are being displayed gradually increases and in its final stage reaches up to 224 pictures per second. While being strictly focused on the images – basically covering all the relevant hand and finger positions on the fret board and strings – the software produces a special mix of white noise and high frequency tones. In other words, the student will not hear actual sound, except for the white noise in the background – but the brain will receive and process the what we call “beeps”. It is important to note, though, that one can’t go without the other. Obviously you will need both the images as well as the audio (delivered at the same time), and you must block out any potential sources for distraction during the 30 minute segments.
Critics challenged me – and still continue to do so – on how it is possible to learn to play the guitar without using the actual instrument. It is mind boggling to me that they don’t seem to understand that everything we do, and I literally mean everything, is being controlled in the brain. If we get to “train the brain” properly it will automatically control and manipulate our physical capabilities. This is the exact opposite approach to conventional guitar teaching methods which go by the principal that practice (stoic repetition for the same playing pattern) will gradually get the brain to remember things. And I have proven that it is much more effective to do it the other way around.
So at this point you will probably ask yourself: “Why is it called Learn Guitar In Your Sleep?” So far there was no mention of the sleeping part. Well, it’s simple. We recommend that the student takes his 30 minute lessons in the evening hours, ideally 1-2 hours before bedtime. This has clearly shown the best results over other test groups who took the segments earlier in the day. Because subsequent to the lesson, the student’s brain will process the new information while he’s asleep. The brain obviously never sleeps. And yes, during our studies, we clearly proved that the students continue to dream normally, so it’s not that they are being conscious of all the information processing that occurs while they sleep.
Of course, this is admittedly just my very humble attempt in explaining highly complex brain and body functions in a non scientific way. I am not a scientist, that’s why all our studies were spearheaded by the Forschungszentrum für populäre Musik. But the bottom line is: it works – damn well, actually. We were so convinced after we saw the combined results of our three year study that we approached some of the world’s top guitarist directly and asked them to try out the program on their students. The feedback we got was absolutely overwhelming and encouraged us to go live seven months ahead of schedule.
Okay, so as promised, for limited time we will give you a chance to try out our revolutionary “Learn Guitar In Your Sleep” Program. After your successful registration – don’t worry, the registration is free of charge – we will send you a link with further information. Now let’s talk about the price. Just imagine how much money you would have to pay if you had to take lessons. And all the time you would have to free up for practicing if you would go down the conventional guitar teaching route. It’s not easy to put a price tag on that. But long story short, despite the fact that this new program will pretty much turn everything we knew about teaching music upside down, we decided to keep things affordable for you. So here we go….
….alright, enough of the nonsense. Let’s cut the BS and get serious here:
Believe me, there is no such thing as “Learning Guitar In Your Sleep”!!!
I didn’t mean to waste your time and I hope – as you read the above – picked up on the fact that I was trying to ridicule the notion that learning to play guitar while sleeping is even a possibility. Because it’s not. And anyone who is trying to convince you that their ‘method’ allows you to learn an instrument while dozing off is, well let’s put it this way: a person I would approach with a lot of caution.
Learning to play guitar takes time and it’s not an easy thing to do. As with everything in life, you will have to put in the work and practice first. So, while I can’t help you with learning guitar in your sleep, I certainly can help you figuring out the best way to learn to play the guitar. And when I say free, I mean it. It doesn’t cost you any money and you don’t have to sign-up for anything – in other words, you don’t have to provide any personal information, not even your email address. You just start learning how to play the guitar via an online course. Just click on the picture below to get started.
