The $2m Gibson SG With A Jewel Finish

$2m Gibson SG

Looking for a new guitar to add to your collection? Well, I’m a massive Gibson SG fan, as most of you probably know. So, I’m always looking for good opportunities to pick-up another one. But, there are limits. Budget being one of them. So, I guess the $2m Gibson SG that’s currently on display at the Jewellery Arabia 2015 exhibition might be slightly out of reach for me. But perhaps you are interested?

Well, if that’s the case, then you might have to get in touch with his Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa (I hope I got that right) and express your ambitions. He may or may not grant you audience.

However, I think you might have some competition from financially potent visitors across the globe. Anyway, I thought I’d let you know. Because one thing is for sure, that particular guitar is unique, not just because of its rather steep price tag, but also the fact that the front of its body is glazed with jewels. Which makes it impractical, strictly from a play-ability perspective. And utterly ugly in my opinion. I know, a blasphemous statement to those among you who can actually appreciate the aesthetics of bling, which I apparently cannot.

Too bad, a beautiful white Gibson SG is still missing in my collection. But I guess I’ll have to take a pass on this $2m exhibit and wait for another opportunity.
