Musiclock Review – Ultimate Guitar Practicing App for iPhone and iPad

Musiclock iPhone iPadHow about an iphone/iPad App that would allow you to practice guitar scales and jam along with backing tracks that’s both easy and inexpensive? Well, check out my Musiclock Review, because this little gem might be just the right thing for you.

There’s tons of Apps out there that promise you to learn guitar or to improve your playing skills. I obviously haven’t looked at all of them. But those that I in fact tried out for myself were either way too complicated or simply inadequate for a variety of reasons. Let alone the price – I was surprised by how much some of those cost.

Now, the Musiclock App for iPhone and iPad is different. First of all, it’s very reasonably priced at $2.99 a pop. Secondly, and this is what I love most about it, it is super easy to use and very intuitive. The advertiser says you can start within seconds, and what can I say, yes, that’s absolutely true. There is a total of three screens, one of which is to adjust some general settings, such as whether you want a piano sound or the sound of a guitar for the audio. Once that’s done, from thereon out you only have two screens to navigate in back and forth from.

The concept is very simple. You pick a scale of your choice in any of the 12 keys. Then you select from a list of backing tracks. Et voila, you’re ready to go. The Musiclock App will play the tune of your choice in the preselected key. However, you can easily change the key via an on-screen dial. The display features the standard notation of the respective scale as well as the corresponding notes on the fretboard of your guitar.

I’m not an App person and even basic tasks such as texting continue to be a challenge for me and my notorious ‘fat-fingering’. But the Musiclock guitar and piano practicing App is so simple and straightforward to use, even a challenged person like me was able to get it figured out within a couple of minutes.

Musiclock AppI strongly encourage you to check out ‘Musiclock’. It’s a very helpful guitar practicing tool that literally fits in your pocket. The founders and designers focused on functionality and ease of use – no unnecessary knick-knacks. So, please go and visit Perttu’s and Pietu’s Musiclock website to learn more about how the whole thing came about and how you can download the App to your device.
